Tone your muscles without the gym or sweat

What is CoolTone?

CoolTone is a brand new body sculpting treatment by Allergan, the maker of CoolSculpting. It can help you build new muscle without any trips to the gym, sweat, or downtime. With CoolTone, you can achieve a more toned appearance in your abdomen, buttock, and thighs.

During a CoolTone treatment, one of our expert providers will apply the special device to your areas of concern. Through magnetic muscle stimulation, CoolTone will penetrate into your muscle layers and induce muscle contractions.

Your body will respond to these contractions by strengthening its muscle fibers and create greater tone and definition. While the number of treatments you’ll need will depend on your body shape, lifestyle habits, exercise routine, and desired results, most patients receive anywhere from 4 to 12 treatments.

Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of CoolTone and what areas can be treated?

CoolTone treatments are easy to experience, and non-invasive. There are no needles, incisions, or scars, and improved muscle definition and tone becomes visible within days, improving as the collagen fibers regenerate. There is no downtime; you can walk out of our clinic and return to your usual day, with no side effects. This groundbreaking treatment can significantly resculpt and firm various body areas, including:

  • Abdomen
  • Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Upper Arms

Am I a Good Candidate for CoolTone?

CoolTone has achieved FDA approval and is safe for most people. You are a candidate for CoolTone if you:

  • If you are in good health and at or near your ideal weight.
  • Want to achieve greater muscle definition and strength.
  • If you are looking to contour your body, rather than lose weight.
  • Do not have a pacemaker or other type of implanted medical device that could be disrupted or damaged by electromagnetic activity on or near it.
  • If you do not have Grave’s disease, an active bleeding disorder or a seizure disorder.

What is the difference between CoolTone and CoolSculpting?

Both CoolTone and CoolSculpting were developed by Allergen to resculpt the body, but they work differently. CoolSculpting freezes fat cells, destroying them, after which they are shed by your body over the weeks and months following treatment. CoolTone delivers electrical impulse to trigger rapid contractions to increase muscle mass, lift, and definition. The full array of muscle fibers reacts to the energy emitted by the device, with a result that would be impossible to achieve with even the most vigorous daily workouts. While CoolSculpting removes fat cells from stubborn areas, CoolTone builds new muscle. Combining CoolSculpting with CoolTone can leave you with optimal body contouring results.

Are the CoolTone results permanent? Are there are any side effects?

The results of your CoolTone treatment are long lasting and can be repeated regularly to further resculpt your body or maintain your results. The only side effect is muscle soreness, like what you would feel after a very tough workout. Some of the more common side effects can include temporary muscle spasms, muscular pain, localized skin redness, and temporary joint or tendon pain. CoolTone is performed in an outpatient setting, and most procedures last around 30-minutes. There is no downtime after a treatment session, and the patient can leave the office and return to their regular daily routine.

What is supramaximal muscle contraction?

Our muscles are typically told by the brain to contract to the degree necessary to accomplish the task at hand. CoolTone delivers supramaximal (supra, meaning over or above or beyond the limits of, from the Latin; maximal, meaning greatest possible or highest, from the Latin) muscle contraction much greater than ordinary contraction to stimulate the growth of muscle mass faster than could be accomplished naturally.

Are there any contraindications for CoolTone?

Contraindications would include your having any implanted devices or health conditions that could be affected by an electromagnet, such as:

  • Cardiac pacemakers
  • Implanted defibrillators
  • Implanted neurostimulators
  • Drug pumps

How do I know whether CoolTone or CoolSculpting would work better for me?

During your consultation with Dr. Michelle Parsons, will discuss both your goals for a procedure, as well as your medical history.

How long is a session and how many treatments will I need?

A session typically lasts 30 minutes, with no restrictions when complete – you are free to return to your day. For maximum results, two sessions per week for two weeks is the standard, which can be repeated to further enhance your figure.

Is There Any Downtime?

Since CoolTone is a non-invasive treatment, there is absolutely no downtime. You can resume work and your daily activities right away.

What is the Cost of CoolTone?

The total cost of an entire CoolTone treatment depends on how many sessions Dr. Parsons thinks you’ll need to achieve the desired results. The best way to find out what it will cost is to make an appointment. Generally speaking, most patients will need to undergo four treatments in two weeks. Many people who have gotten the CoolTone procedure performed have stated that they already can start to feel their core strength improved after just one session.

What Results Will I See?

Patients treated with CoolTone often see:

  • A toned body.

  • Improved appearance of loose, sagging skin.

Complete results typically take 3 months to appear.
